I remember back in the day I used to spend my weekends hanging out in Newport and Huntington beach to do a little surfing. I was terrible, but that never stoped me. There were a few local surfers that drove 914's and I always wanted one. We thought we were cool so we called them the poor mans Porsche even though we couldn't afford one of our own. Heck I was driving an orange 1974 Fiat X-1/9 so I felt like I already had a sporty car. Fast forward to today, and I am still dreaming about a 914 or even a 914-6 and I still hope to pull the trigger one day just so I can have one of my own. Until then I'm just another Poor guy wanting a Porsche. I mean no disrespect, Porsche are awesome machines, and the the premium prices any of them cost today is exceedingly expensive.
